NewsPro is an AI-powered news aggregation platform that collects publicly available news articles from RSS feeds and third-party news sources, synthesizes them using large language models, and presents unified, multi-perspective stories to readers. We are based in India and operate in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

2.1 Automatically Collected Data
We collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This information is used solely for operating and improving the service and is not linked to personally identifiable profiles.

2.2 Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and localStorage to store your theme preference (light/dark mode) and cookie consent status. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

2.3 What We Do Not Collect
NewsPro does not require account registration and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information from general readers. The admin interface is password-protected and used only by authorized personnel.

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
• To monitor for abuse, spam, or security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.
• To analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns (not individual tracking).

NewsPro aggregates content from publicly available RSS feeds published by third-party news organizations. Each article displayed includes a link to the original source. We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party publishers. AI-generated summaries are produced using a self-hosted language model (Ollama) and are not sent to any external AI provider by default.

Aggregated story data is retained indefinitely to maintain the public archive. Raw server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Cookie consent and preference data stored in your browser is retained until you clear your browser data.

Under applicable Indian law and as a matter of good practice, you have the right to:

• Know what information we hold about you (access request).
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal data where we hold any.
• Withdraw consent to cookie use at any time via your browser settings.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Platform and its data. However, no internet transmission is completely secure. The admin panel is accessible only with a secret password and is not linked from public pages.

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 18 where applicable under Indian law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
